Peaks Picks!
From the hills of Cariñena, Spain comes an incredible line of wines by Axial named Abrazo. The region of Cariñena is known for growing exceptional Grenache and Tempranillo grape varietals that produce wines of great concentration and depth. The Abrazo line is no exception. We have brought in two different labels from Abrazo, the Abrazo Garnacha 2005 (Top 200 wine in the World under $9 Wine Spectator) and the Abrazo Reserva 1999. Both of these wines show extraordinary character for a price that feels like a steal. Come in and check out these great new additions to our ever-growing and world-class wine selections. Cheers! Cliff

Abrazo Garnacha 2005: 100% Grenache; 20 yr. old vines; Cherry color. The bouquet is reminiscent of red fruit, raspberry, with hints of truffles. Full bodied. The balancing acid gives the wine a good structure and a long finish.

Abrazo Reserva 1999: 60% Grenache 40% Tempranillo; 20-30 yr. old vines; Dark Ruby Red in Color. The bouquet displays aromas of dark red fruits, tea and toffee, with nuances of vanilla and oak present. Full bodied, well balanced with a long lingering finish.
